The Starvation Approach
This is also known as the world’s oldest weight-loss plan. Want to drop pounds? Stop eating! Actually, in the beginning this can be rewarding. You’re restricting calories and noticing yourself getting smaller. But you don’t realize that your body is extremely smart, extremely adaptable, and it doesn’t give a damn about how you look. It only wants to survive. When you restrict food, your body says, OK, I don’t know when this idiot is going to feed me next, so when he does I’m going to hold on to as much of that meal as I can. Your metabolism slows down and you go into fat-storage mode. The minute you start eating normally again, you gain weight at a record rate.
You’ve probably seen people who’ve done this. They starve themselves for a few months, and you’re thinking, Hey, they look good. But the next time you see them, they’re looking a little too skinny. When you see them six months later, after they’ve thrown in the towel and returned to their usual eating habits, they’re fatter than ever before.

This is one of the simplest explanation so far that I’ve read why it’s not good to starve yourself when you’re thinking of losing weight.

Right on once again!
no dinner is probably the only kind of eating habits that dont end up as additional numbers on the scales.
isnt really starving, right?
Yes, that really ain’t starving as long as you have your breakfast and lunch. Breakfast should not be skipped if you really want to lose weight, for more details you can check my post about breakfast and losing weight at http://bryanking.net/%E2%80%9Cyou-have-to-eat-breakfast-if-you-want-to-lose-weight%E2%80%9D/
