Walking or jogging is a really great exercise. It has many health benefits and I don’t think that there’s any other exercise seniors can do except this to keep themselves strong so they can be independent so, it is very important. To be fit, it doesn’t really necessarily mean that you will have to go to the gym or spend thousands of dollars on health supplements. Even by walking at your own backyard everyday can be a good and cheap way to be fit. If you can’t walk outside because of some circumstances, then walking around the living room will do just as great.

So, I will talk about walking at home. All you’re going to need is a walking shoes and a living room with a space enough for walking and a TV with a DVD player. I said a DVD player because this Jane Fonda DVD series is an instructional video titled “Walk out” and “Fit & Strong” which are especially designed for seniors. You will see Jane Fonda at the age of 72 still fit and strong. No, I was not the one who bought the DVD but my mom and I have to say, when I watched it, it was really good. It was intentionally made for beginners and seniors with low-impact exercises. This will definitely stimulate a person’s walking. There are no really difficult steps in this exercise which again are especially designed for seniors and no pressure. All you have to do is walk with different variations and some sidesteps. If you can’t handle the sidesteps or some other particular steps, then you can just walk in place while it is being executed. More to that, all you’re going to need is to buy a DVD of Jane Fonda and you can be fit!

So, be smart and fit. Start walking and be amazed with its benefits. You will surely live with no regrets!
