When you are trying to lose weight, it’s best to follow tips that are scientifically-acclaimed and those that can really help you achieve your desired weight. Here are some of the most effective tips that you can use to make your dream body turn into reality.

  • Stick to your meal routine. – As much as possible, keep your meal schedule consistent. Make sure to eat at the same time everyday. However, you must not forget to keep a 5-hour interval between meals. To make it easier for you to stick to this schedule, choose a pattern that matches your lifestyle and daily routine. When eating snacks, be sure to do it at the same time everyday. If you do this, you know when the right time to eat is and you’ll also know when you should not be eating.
  • Choose low-fat foods. – When you shop at the grocery or even when you buy food items at a convenience store, go for low-fat foods. Some good examples are low-fat dairy products. If you drink at least 300 mls of skimmed milk daily, you’ll be able to save 60 calories per day. That is equivalent to 420 calories per week! That’s a huge difference if you compare it to full fat milk. When you use spreads on your sandwich and dressing on your salad, just use a small amount. It’s because even if they’re considered diet foods, too much of them can lead you to consume excessive fats.
  • Walk your way to weight loss. – If you walk at least 1,000 steps or 60-90 minutes daily, you can lose a lot of weight. To make sure you reach this number of steps, use a pedometer. You don’t need to do the thousand steps in one go, you can break it up all throughout the day. But if you want to burn at least 1,240 calories per week, you must be able to walk 5,000 steps per day.
  • Always remember to get your dose of 5 a day. – It is important to have at least 5 portions of fruit and vegetables everyday. This means that you need to include veggies and fruits in your every meal. By consuming this much on a daily basis, your body will be able to receive the right amount of vitamins and minerals.
