Reportable Disease
Any contagious disease that must be reported by the doctor to the public health authorities, who in turn report some of them to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Examples of reportable diseases include AIDS, MALARIA, INFLUENZA, POLIO, typhus, YELLOW FEVER, SYPHILIS, GONORRHEA, CHOLERA, and bubonic plague.
