1.       Be realistic when estimating your calories. – When counting your calories, make sure that what you are doing is accurate. Most foods have hidden calories and if you are not aware of them, you might end up digesting them. To be able to determine how much calories you are able to consume per day, make use of a precise food diary and refer to it every time you eat something. Alternately, you can also make use of a measuring cup when you eat to control your portion sizes and monitor your calorie intake per meal.

2.       Do not overestimate the number of calories you’ve burned. – Once you’ve finished your workout session for the day, you might think that there’s so much calories that you’ve burned in that activity. Because of this, you might believe that this gives you permission to eat more calories during dinner. That should not be the case. Keep in mind that you need to remove 500 calories per day from your diet just to lose 1 pound every week! That can only be achieved if you exercise 30 minutes each day, 6 days a week and by maintaining a healthy diet. To lose weight quickly, don’t think you deserve to relax and compromise your diet on some days and then be strict on it on the others. Be consistent and always keep your portions small.

3.       Have a proper meal schedule. – If you want to lose weight the quickest time possible, you must learn to eat at the right times. By doing so, you’ll be able to boost your metabolism and get the right amount of glucose that you need everyday. You must eat your breakfast one hour after you wake up. After 3 hours later or 4, you can now eat your snacks. One hour later, another major meal can follow and the process goes on.

4.       Get proper sleep. – If you are not getting enough sleep, you will have more ghrelin (hormone that stimulates appetite) flowing inside in your body. Moreover, you will also have more cortisol (stress hormone which can make you gain weight) in your body if you are sleep-deprived. This then can lead to overeating can will make you fat. If you do not want this to happen to you, get at least 8 hours of sleep everyday and sleep at the exact time every night to keep your body in proper condition and for you to lose weight.
