How To Stop Teenage Smoking
Smoking at an early age has risen to a new level nowadays. According to a survey, more than 4,000 children are into smoking at an early age of sixteen. That’s a huge number of children that will get addicted to smoking even though they know already the dangers of smoking. Usually, these children gets into smoking is because of family problems but let’s not generalize, there are also some that gets the bad habit from their friends or even from TV.
There are several reasons why children light their cigarettes early nowadays. One of the reasons is because they think they look cool when smoking a cigarette. Or maybe they don’t want to be left out because all of their friends are also smoking, so he would think that he also should smoke a cigarette. Unfortunately, that first time smoking is a route to addiction to cigarettes that will lead to a lot of health complications especially on the lungs and cardiovascular system or even death. However, that is not all, there will come a time where the smoker will then realize that what he is doing is something that can destroy his future and life and will end up trying to stop smoking but will have a hard time doing it.
It is unfortunate that buying or acquiring cigarettes is very easy despite the age restriction of the cigarettes from the law. According to what I see everyday, children can easily acquire cigarettes from stores without having any problem because they are not being searched for any proof about their age. This leads to children being easily addicted to cigarettes and will soon be dependent on the said item.
It is best to quit smoking as early as a person can because the longer it will take for you to quit smoking, the harder it will become. It’s time we be conscious about our health and enjoy life in a healthy and fit way! It is actually cooler to be fit than smoking.
