Lack of sleep is the number-one cause of problems for all parents of young children. Sleep’s particularly important for your child’s health because it stimulates the hormones that make her grow. Sleep’s also the time when your child’s body does all its repair work, replenishing damaged tissues and cells and building a healthy immune system. Getting your child into good sleep habits can have a positive impact on her health and development. The best way of doing this is to establish a bedtime routine and make sure that your child is able to go to sleep by herself.
