Based from recent research, drinking water can indeed help people achieve weight loss. A study was conducted and middle-aged adults were made to participate. What the researchers did was that they placed these individuals on a low-fat calorie diet. Women were made to consume 1, 200 calories and men had 1,500 calories each day. Once three months passed, individuals who drank 2 glasses of water before eating their three major meals lost 15.5 pounds. On the other hand, those who did not drink water before meals only lost 11 pounds. Why did this happen? The main reason is because water drinkers consumed 75-90 calories less for every meal they had.

To make sure that the results were accurate, the researchers continued with their monitoring. They did this to the water drinkers. After a couple of months, they were found to have continued to shed extra pounds. Although this might be the case, those who are aged 18-35 did not produce the same results. According to the researchers, they presume that the stomachs of older adults take more time to go empty that’s why they had different results. This sounds like good news to the seniors. Why is it that drinking water before meals can trigger weight loss?

The reason behind this is that water makes people feel fuller and thus lead them to eat less during meals. The good thing about this technique is that it isn’t harmful and it isn’t costly as long as it isn’t overdone. Drinking too much water can lead to bloating that’s why people must only have enough of it each day. Have you tried practicing this weight loss method? If not, then now is the time for you to do so. You will definitely be pleased with the results. You see, water helps flush out the unwanted toxins from your body thus cleansing it. Water aids in the detoxification process and this plays an important role in your weight loss plan. So if you’re not a water drinker, you must change that habit and start drinking up in order to lose weight.
