Bad Effects Of Drinking Sodas

Bad Effects, Drinking Sodas, high amount of sugar, very acidic

Everybody enjoys drinking soda because of its refreshing and good taste however, are their effects good and refreshing as well? In this article, we will be talking about the effects of drinking soda.

  1. Sodas have a very high amount of sugar
Sugar is very bad for our diet and health. Sugar is the reason why our body stores fat. It is because sugar produces plenty of insulin. This high amount of insulin can actually lead to diabetes, tooth decay, kidney stones and chronic kidney disease, heartburn, liver damage, hypertension, osteoporosis, impaired digestion, heart disease and obesity. There may be even more that I have not listed here.
  2. Sodas steal water
Because of the high amount of sugar sodas have, they steal water. The equation of water from drinking soda is 10 glasses of water = 1 glass of soda.
  3. Sodas are very acidic
The body naturally produces a pH of about 7.0 and sodas have a pH of about 2.5 which means, you have something in your body that is more acidic than you are. pH is a measure of acidity. Take note, the lower the pH, the higher the acid base. Diseases are high in a body that has pH lower than 7. Studies show that patients with cancer have low pH.
  4. You are not really quenching your thirst when drinking soda
Too much of drinking soda can actually lead to chronic cellular dehydration. You are actually ridding your body of water. This weakens your body at the cellular level.

Maybe these reasons are enough for you to stop drinking soda. Of course, it can be hard from the start but it won’t be hard enough to lessen the intake as time pass by until you have totally gotten rid of it.
